One of the most welcome novelties of recent years is Pilates a domicilio; that is, lessons under the expert guidance of the masters in your own home or garden, on the beach, or even at your hotel. This year, Be Be Lux has stipulated special agreements in this sense with Forte’s most elegant and exclusive accommodation faculties.

The “take-away” lessons range across three Pilates styles. The first makes use of the portable Reformer, a highly versatile machine that offers great advantages for postural maintenance and rebalancing as well as muscle toning and strengthening. And then, of course, there is the essential matwork that exploits your body weight and only small equipment to boost the intensity of the workout: flexible rings, elastic fitbands, and the softball, a boon for improving coordination. But we shouldn’t forget the Motr, an ingenious portable machine that can assure maximum dynamicity – because contrary to what many believe, Pilates is a thousand-faceted discipline. It certainly targets increasing the body’s elasticity through stretching, but also focuses on general fitness with cardiovascular training to burn fat and jump-start the metabolism.
