fine dining with a sea view

Being at the seaside doesn’t automatically mean you can eat while gazing at the sea. This is particularly true when appreciating fine cuisine that honors local ingredients and pays homage to the historical recipes that have defined these shores, complemented by sought-after service. At Bagni di Villa Grey’s Bistrot, the Larini family chose to enhance these qualities by investing in a vibrant Chef known for his expertise and deep respect for the ingredients he incorporates into his daily creations. The menu is flexible and evolves with the fishermen’s daily catch from the waters between Viareggio and the Gulf of Poets. Each dish is crafted with care, reflecting a profound passion for the masterpieces of Versilian cuisine: hot seafood salad, timeless spaghetti with coquina clams, plain linguine with clams, fried fresh fish with and without fishbones served with vegetables, and spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino garnished with red shrimp and burrata. The wine cellar is a delightful surprise for a beach restaurant, featuring an exceptional selection of Italian and international wines that transport you to the regions of Burgundy and Champagne. Enjoy lunch each day on the veranda overlooking the shoreline or choose a corner that still offers views of the sunset. Tables are adorned with pure white tablecloths only for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. In the afternoon, you can still order a caprese salad, a club sandwich, or a quick fish fry. Finally, it’s time for an aperitif! The cocktail menu serves as the bartender’s guiding star, featuring intriguing interpretations made with artisanal liquors. The Chef aims to provide all-day service with a concise menu that recommends pairings for mixed drinks, including a selection of oysters and tartare.
