What more can a bar offer besides boasting one of Versilia’s most stunning locations, with views of the sea and the Apuan Alps, along with delicacies from Lux Lucis, the star-studded restaurant of Chef Valentino Cassanelli? It offers only the finest cocktails and beverages. Located on the panoramic rooftop of the Principe Forte dei Marmi hotel, the 67 Sky Lounge is partnering this summer with Drink Kong of Rome, renowned as one of the world’s best cocktail bars. It also stands out as the top Italian bar according to The World’s 50 Best Bars list, which has been celebrating the finest international establishments since 2009.

Sokol Ndreko, the hotel’s restaurant manager, emphasizes that “the news reflects the Principe’s philosophy of fully concentrating on our guests’ needs and well-being, providing them with experiences that surpass all expectations.” He further explains, “We collaborated with Drink Kong to create a menu that is deeply grounded in our local territory, fully harmonizing with the culinary offerings of the Lux Lucis restaurant and Chef Cassanelli’s vision.”

The signature cocktails Negroni 67 and Martini 67 showcase their uniqueness through a carefully crafted blend of aromatic herbs sourced from Versilia, selected with passion by maître Sokol Ndreko. These herbs are featured in the spirits used for the cocktails: gin and vodka from Opificio 77 in Massa, bitter and vermouth provided by the Viareggino Davide Pellegrini, vodka sourced from Maite’s distillery in Carrara, and the spirits from Casa del Rum in Florence. All these ingredients are exceptional artisanal products.

“Technology has transformed the distillery industry significantly,” Ndreko explains. “It enables exceptional productions without the need for substantial investments or large machinery. In the case of gin, the quality primarily hinges on the aromatic herbs, and our region is certainly abundant in them: fresh and fragrant.

Lux Lucis completes the experience. For an aperitif or a casual dinner, 67 Sky Lounge offers Cassanelli’s cuisine, which includes a variety of snacks and appetizers. Guests can also indulge in a dish from the Michelin-starred restaurant, consistently emphasizing local territory, producers, and specialties from a region renowned for its excellence.
