gardens, a family story

In Versilia, where landscape is an essential part of lifestyle and local identity, the culture of the garden is deeply rooted in family stories and traditions passed down through generations. Among them is Bibolotti Garden, a long-established name in landscape design and garden care, founded in the 1960s by Alessandro Bibolotti. “At the time, floriculture was a small, almost entirely artisanal world,” he recalls. “Carnations were cultivated, and little else. It was passion that gave me the courage to start my own business. The company then grew cautiously, acquiring new equipment only when resources allowed, moving forward step by step.”

Working alongside him from an early age was his son Emiliano, who joined the company at just fifteen. “At first, I couldn’t understand why my friends earned more than I did,” he says with a smile. “Later, I realized my father was consistently setting money aside for when I would become an adult—a long-term investment in our future.

Over the years, the dialogue between generations has allowed the company to evolve. “My father gave me the freedom to experiment,” Emiliano continues, “and together we found a balance between my entrepreneurial drive and his experience.”

Today, Bibolotti Garden is a team of approximately twenty professionals capable of overseeing every stage of a project—from design to implementation and ongoing upkeep. This continuous care is essential to preserving the balance and beauty of a garden over time, responding promptly even during delicate phases or unforeseen challenges that nature inevitably brings. Yet the founding spirit remains unchanged. “It is the most beautiful profession in the world,” Alessandro concludes. “We work with nature and leave behind traces meant to endure. It is moving to think that the trees we plant today will still be standing a hundred years from now.” A daily commitment that engages both local and international clients with a oneof-a-kind territory and contributes to shaping the distinctive green identity of Versilia.
