classic yachting 2.0
We got to meet Luca Dini, the designer of the new Picchiotti Gentleman 24m, the perfect example of the splendour of yachts of yesteryear, revived in the style of Forte dei Marmi.
The 24m Picchiotti Gentleman, entirely designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture, is the first in a new line inspired by the golden age of classic yachting. Paying tribute to iconic models such as the Picchiotti Giglio and Mistral series, it celebrates the brand’s stylistic values and deep-rooted maritime culture.
A bold, retro-inspired project, it is aimed at owners who want to stand out while remaining firmly connected to tradition and the concept of elegant seamanship. This small yet impressive jewel of the new Picchiotti era by The Italian Sea Group boasts a number of distinctive features, including a delightful tender that is so beautiful it is ’displayed’ on the stern deck of the boat, a real beach club that can be transformed into an additional cabin if necessary, and a side walkway that allows you to move from the stern to the bow on the main deck. These innovative solutions, together with the sophisticated mahogany finishes, help to recreate the atmosphere of the most prestigious vintage yachts.
At the Monaco Yacht Show recently, we got on the Picchiotti Gentleman 24m and had a great chat with designer Luca Dini, who told us all about how the project came about and how it’s been developed. Here’s the video interview below.
