in praise of Italian beauty

TEDxForteDeiMarmi returns to the beach at the Augustus Beach Club on August 29 and 30

A tribute to Italy that designs timeless beauty. This theme will be the focus at the upcoming TEDx Forte dei Marmi, the only TED event globally held on the beach. Mark your calendars for Friday, August 29, and Saturday, August 30, at the iconic Augustus Beach Club. The venue is confirmed, with host Claudia Vanni, a TGCOM24 journalist, alongside co-host Anna Vagli, a TV criminologist and journalist, both local experts who can captivate the audience, guided by founder Matteo Stefanini and a big team of young volunteers.

“The mission of TEDx Forte dei Marmi has always been to inspire and share ideas capable of changing the world, while fostering meaningful connections among extraordinary people,” says Stefanini. This year’s theme, “Designing Timeless Beauty,” serves as a sincere homage to our land, to Italy, and to a type of beauty that is both sustainable and deeply anchored in tradition while also being forward-thinking. Where better to celebrate this than in Forte dei Marmi?”

Talks will spotlight the very best of Made in Italy – from yachting and design to fashion and lifestyle
featuring high-profile speakers. Among these, world-renowned Florentine designer of super and mega yachts Luca Dini will explore how futuristic vision and sustainability are blending yachting with architecture in hybrid spaces that redefine experiential luxury. Also taking the stage is Annalisa Tarquini, a yachting communication expert, who will highlight the critical bond between craftsmanship and design and why the loss of manual know-how is a threat to the entire luxury industry. Among the confirmed speakers is Marta Giunti, a former athlete of the Italian national alpine ski team and now a digital creator, Riccardo Ceccarelli, Marco Marseglia, Arturo Artom, Gianluca Binelli, and Marta Budetta.

Following the successful partnership with World Boating Day in May, anticipation is growing for this year’s two-part event: the Grand Gala on August 29, followed by a full day of talks on August 30
