making the best even better

Take something excellent and make it even better. This was the idea and goal that guided the designers of the new Benetti B.Now 52m. The highly successful 50 m model — one of the greatest successes of the B.Now family, with 21 units sold to date — needed to be reinterpreted. RWD Studio was responsible for the exteriors and Valentina Zannier for the interiors. The focus was on redefining the concept of space. ’We sought a harmonious combination of openness, functionality and flexibility,’ explains Charlie Baker, director of RWD, the British studio with which Benetti has collaborated since 2011. ’A balance between aesthetics and functionality,’ echoes Valentina Zannier, ’for a boat with clean, essential architectural lines, elegant interior design and fluid connections between the spaces.’

The spaces are therefore expanded, not only because of the larger hull dimensions compared to the 50m. Thanks to the integration of the external corridor, for example, the main deck is now flooded with light from enormous sea-view windows. Furthermore, entering through the lounge door reveals a continuous 48-metre pathway extending to the panoramic bow terrace, facilitating seamless movement throughout the boat and fostering an uninterrupted connection with the outdoors. The larger internal staircase, located in the centre of the new open space, has become a design feature. On the upper deck, the absence of an external staircase on the terrace has created an additional 110-square-metre area reserved entirely for the owner, comprising the master cabin and private terrace. The Oasis Deck has also been enlarged by 30 per cent compared to the previous version, reaching 130 square metres in area with a 15-metre extension from the stern to the lounge entrance. The larger, completely redesigned swimming pool incorporates a retractable cover system that allows the area to be transformed into a large and impressive platform on the water.

The interiors of Benetti B.Now 52m

The project of the new B.Now 52m was unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show at the end of September and will also be on display at the International Boat Show in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from October 29 to November 2. Another Benetti project is also on display there, the B.Loft 58m designed by Cassetta Yacht Designers and inspired, like the 65m model, by large villas and modern urban lofts. The B.Loft 58m introduces a new concept of beach club thanks to the Cabana, a generous shaded area (open or closable) located in the center of a 120-square-meter bathing platform that reaches 15.5 meters in width thanks to the lowering of the hull’s opening wings and overlooked by a swimming pool that creates a magical play of light reflections. Another distinctive feature of the B.Loft 58m is the panoramic Sky Lounge on the upper deck: 70 square meters with windows up to 3.5 meters high for a boundless view of the vast horizon.
