tribute to yachting
The world of yachting in Guillaume Plisson’s spectacular photographs on display in Monte Carlo during the Monaco Yacht Show
In its latest edition, the Monaco Yacht Show celebrated the true spirit of yachting, showcasing its magical blend of sea, light and fine craftsmanship. A widespread photographic exhibition set up along the quays of Port Hercule, home to the show, featured 143 large-format images by the famous French photographer Guillaume Plisson.
“With the Tribute to Yachting exhibition, we opened the show to new forms of artistic expression, inviting visitors to rediscover yachting not only for its innovations or prestige, but through the deep emotions it stirs,” said Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of the Monaco Yacht Show. “This collaboration with Guillaume Plisson reflects MYS’s desire to celebrate the human side of yachting: the stories, dreams, the quiet beauty that move us beyond the surface.”
The exhibition told untold stories, inviting visitors to look beyond the design of yachts and appreciate the craftsmanship, passion and vision that go into making them. Through his lens, Plisson revealed to the general public what is often invisible: the precision of craftsmanship; lives shaped by the rhythm of the sea; and the silent study that guides every design choice. “The exhibition,” explains the artist, “was born from a shared desire with the Monaco Yacht Show to offer an artistic and emotional glimpse into the world of yachting. But none of this would have been possible without the concrete and loyal support of the entire industry: owners, shipyards, designers and crews all contributed to making these images possible.”
By integrating artistic storytelling into the visitor experience at the Show, the MYS has reaffirmed its core values of innovation, design, sustainability, excellence and art de vivre. Giving the public the opportunity not only to see the best the industry has to offer, but to experience it.
The photos from the exhibition are now on sale, enabling collectors and enthusiasts to extend this artistic experience beyond the exhibition itself.
